Around 신촌 (Sinchon)

Sinchon is the area by my university. There is a small pedestrian area, but a lot of the streets feel like a pedestrian zone because they are filled with many people and the few cars have a hard time driving through. The crowd is mainly a younger crowd, probably because of all the universities in the area. There are also many street performers especially during the night. I have so far seen singers, dancers, and even a magician!

There are also many shops familiar to those in the states. Besides for the numerous Coffee Bean shops, I think the two most common ones are 7 Eleven and Starbucks. You can have one a few stores away from the next one.

1st Daiso Haul

I finally made it to Daiso and bought some things I need. I think Daiso is a retail store that sell things for pretty low prices. You can buy household items, food, games, etc. It reminded me of Amazing Savings.

It all cost around $9 plus around ¢2 for the bag. I just need to get a few more things, such as paper towels & soap, and I will be set.

At Incheon Airport and on the way into Seoul

At the airport in Seoul
Soon these would be unloaded & put in the 7/11store. Note the products we are used to seeing including the Tropicana written in Korean
Some pictures leaving the airport on the way to Seoul around 5:30am. The trip on the limousine bus I took was around 50 minutes and the walk to my dorms was a few more.

Here at Last!

After many hours of traveling over two days, I have finally arrived! Here are some of my comments over the course of the lengthy trip:

A bird was flying around the terminal in DC. I don't think anyone else realized.

Even though I have not yet made it to Alaska, at least I was able to fly over it. The parts that were not covered by clouds were absolutely beautiful. מה רבו מעשיך ה!
{The pictures were taken while flying over Canada}

Ice cream for snack on the plane?!? That's a first for me. Madagascar vanilla flavor.

After over 13 hours since my first flight took off, I am not looking forward to another 8 hours until the last flight lands. Of course then there is baggage claims, customs, immigration, & traveling into Seoul....and it does not help that I haven't been able to sleep :(

Welcome to Japan!

The real deal ;)

Free wifi & baggage carts!

Flight delayed 2 hours :(

Landed at Incheon airport in South Korea. The flight was delayed over 2 hours so I missed the last bus & even the last train which means I have to spend the night in the airport and take the first bus tomorrow morning.

Was that just mint scented soap I used?

I am currently watchcing the World Cup (Netherlands vs Australia) with Korean commentators while waiting for the first bus tomorrow morning. So far no one has scored yet - neither team nor myself.

Both teams have just scored - can it be my turn now please?

I finally made it to the dorms! Baruch Hashem after 36 hours I can finally sleep in my bed!
